Antonio Hill's thriller titled
The Good Suicides has a lot to shout from the rooftops about. As well as a lot to roll my eyes about. This thriller involving some loose ends and way too many characters, picks up and slows down at a patchwork pace. The reason I kept reading was to know the finale. I need to know what happened and how she disappeared. Both questions were left unanswered. I would have preferred the moments and details to be sped up, as well as fewer important characters. Hill has some killer metaphors, though. He has a way of writing something so hauntingly eloquent that it chooses to stick with you not just through the text, but through the mundane tasks of your day. I was surprised at times and bored at times, but would still recommend this book to a friend. More for the literary content, and less for the plot.
